And I do want to leave everyone with a solid idea with what is going on. Its an election year. The economy always grinds to a near stop during this time. Of you look back in the history of the u.s. economy. You will see a ressession during an election year where a new president is elected. Why? Not really sure! My thoughts are: amerain people get nervous about who the next president is. So they cut back on spending. And wait to be told how to spend there money by people who could careless about them. No pun intended! So by this time in 17 things will start moving again. And by this time in 18. Everyone will wonder how they got through this hard economical eclection year.

Don't know why the American people can't take care of there own future. Instead of letting politicians decide it for them. Its just the way it goes...

So leaving for the next job. It will be the same problem all over again. More endless weeks of low miles at another company.

It's not a good sign when the ez pass/ prepass thing gets shut off all of a sudden. It's going to be chaos when drivers started getting routed through places where there is no choice but to go through a toll, especially getting out of nj and it now costs a mint just to cross even the smallest bridges. The thing that really angered me was they actually expected drivers to maintain a 60+ mph average even on the little 2 lane roads. I've been with small companies even through the recession and even back then that little ex pass box never got shut off unless drivers were constantly blowing the toll booth speed limit. I'm going to look at my options my self if the miles don't improve.

The prepass is a monthly fee now it's like $19 a month. It is a monthly flat fee now.

That's not true. Prepass is a flat monthly rate.

Prepass is $15.10/month per unit, at least as of 6 months ago

Hmmmm... still, if they are getting rid of it, not a good sign, maybe I'm wrong but I guess I'll see what happens during the next 2-3 months and with my vacation and then I'll decide whether to stick it out or bail.

If they get rid of prepass that's one thing. That means you won't get green lighted at any weigh stations.

On the other hand, if they get rid of ezpass for toll payments I wouldn't waste my time with the company. That's a separate function from prepass. Ezpass is free (need to maintain a certain account balance) and it wouldn't make sense to get rid of it since tolls are cheaper using the transponder than cash. Only reason to get rid of it would be to completely prevent drivers from using toll roads

Funny thing I got routed on the toll road going south of buffalo.... maybe some sense was talked into them? another thing too is if they got rid of that and drivers had to shell out cash for any of those bridges getting in and out of jersey or any point east of the hudson....that's even more expensive than the toll roads. I'm sure things would get a bit interesting after that lol

Really finding myself in a pickle now.... Got my DOT physical done and emailed it into NY state....then a week later it's still not in the system and I find out they rejected it because the doctor used the old outdated form for the certificate, which the FMSCA changed recently. Luckily my delivery on this load and the next pickup near occur near the house... Which would be an opportunity to stop and get it fixed, except now I find out that doctor is off until the day after the holiday,
And both the DMV and whatever clinics are closing early.... Not good.... Especially when my clearance is up on Sunday and the only answer from dispatch is "can you still pick up that load?" Lol.
