Ohhhh I'm sure someone at Nestlé is going to get hit with detention on this, since they knew they didn't have the product and still let the truck come. Apparently they are still seeing if the load is viable I guess. Plus the canceled load from Monday when I still had a full clock. My DM knows when I'm extra calm I'm extra pissed heh...
Also, no information on this but it showed up in my fb feed...its just a flesh wound...
CannonballAA Thanks this. -
Forgot to even mention it. Need to ask them that when I get back to the yard.CannonballAA Thanks this.

That is so messed up, I would be screaming for compensation. Layover pay or something. JCT won't give out any money unless you say something. I've always been compensated for similar situations.CannonballAA Thanks this.

Took my once a year load from Los Angeles to Denver. Only do it once a year to remind me why I hate that route. Too much climibing uphill at low speeds/ inefficient. Suck down too much fuel/ time. Get paid on flat rate, stay on flat ground is more profitable.
The planners took mercy on my soul though. On the way to final get a preplan to pick up in Cactus TX 350 some miles away empty running. Didn't have time to look at PP so just kept driving. Run empty call and boom they assign that load on me even though I never actually accpted it. But I think about it a minute, the 350 miles empty will help recover some of the mileage per gallon I lost coming up over the Rockies into Denver on I70.
Anyway I have a sharp eye out for a washout on the way to Cactus along 287 in Colorado/Oklahoma/Texas, any suggestions? I know I know, should have done it back in Denver right after empty instead of running with the 2.5 hours I had left to run. -
Looks like Nestlé is going to load the load tonight on me. And pay a day of detention for their screwup. Also will get some "I'm sorry" pay for the canceled Tyson load before this. And a little change for doing a hand unload. (Straight pulled some pallets off at Amazon Fresh). Now I'm more Bruce Banner and less green.Steel Tiger, CannonballAA and Top off Thank this.

There's a washout in Cactus. About a mile south of JBS. There is also a Mexican restaurant there.
If I remember correctly, JBS in Cactus has a wash bay on site to drop the trailer at.Last edited: Jul 20, 2016

Yes that worked. After the second message i sent asking for a washout solution they tell me JBS has the washout. Guard says drop on wash dock lol. So that was easy enough. The hard part was cranking down the trailer 8 inches too high in 100 degree heat.MachoCyclone Thanks this.
