I have to admit that's me sometimes. When some mega company driver tries to call me out on the CB it just makes me do it again to aggravate them.

I drove school bus for a couple years. I saw this several times a year.
Called it in and made a report for every one, too. Little ever came of the reports. It always appeared to be people who didn't understand when they should stop.
Like the lights are on but the sign isn't out. That is a feature on many buses today, the stop sign does not come out until the door is open.
Or some stops are soo close to each other we close the stop arm, but leave the yellow caution lights on. To warn drivers that we are going to be slowing and stopping soon. Never failed, I got passed with the yellow lights on.

Now, I try to be conscious of what time it is as I go by schools and at the end of the day, to be prepared to look for buses and kids on bikes.

That's it right there. Being aware of what time it is and when busses are likely to be loading/unloading kids. If everyone would be more aware, the roads would be a lot safer, but with all the distractions these days (mostly phones), it just doesn't happen much.

Coulple kids got hit here recently. I gotta say it was partly their fault cause they just ran across the road like a dang squirrel. You gotta look no matter how much in the "right" you are.

Should be easier to have licence revoked. For several different gross infractions or multiple minor infractions.

I was always taught driving is a privilege with the threat if I screwed up bad enough they will take my card away. Where is the line? Involuntary manslaughter?

In Illinois, in a 4 lane road, the road going the opposite direction does not have to stop, but the video they showed that and said something about citation

Illinois probably also had reasonable rules like they can't let kids out if their home destination is on the opposite side of the road. Texas they let 'em out whatever makes for the shortest, easiest route. If they have to cross a busy 4-lane, they are required to say 3 Hail Marys and then their sent on their way with fingers crossed.

I believe the distinction is a "divided" highway. With an actual median or concrete barrier in between. Those roads in the video were not divided.

Ohio law is like that, has to be a "divided" road for you to not have to stop. Either a barrier, median, etc. AFAIK, a center turn lane does not count.

If you ask me, if someone is purposefully blowing past or even doing so by being distracted and a kid is off the bus, it should be an attempt of homicide by vehicle. I bet that would stop people from doing it!!!
