Good luck, 'cause you're gonna need it!
I quit taking my truck there some time ago because of the massive screw-ups on simple jobs. Now I won't even run trailers through for repairs.
Why? A trailer needed a tire. No big deal. Figured I would get it done after delivery as a tire shop was right down the road. Got a pre-plan while unloading that ran right by the shop. Ok, I'll be a team player and save them some money and have the company shop do it.
In my best Sponge Bob announcer voice....."Six Hours Later...." they changed the wrong ####ing tire! Never mind that I specified exactly which tire to replace. Also nevermind the big chunk hanging off the sidewall 'cause that's just a pressure relief flap.
No joke,

To hell with trailer abs... every time i get a falt light for trailer abs and it wont go away after checking for loose wires and i get into a shop it goes off and wont comeback on and the shop can never find out whats wrong with it. Watch ill get a few miles up the road tomorrow and it will rear its ugly head again. If only you could get the truck to record the fault and could atleast tell if its a bad sensor or something.

Apparently not cuz ive had issues with the trailer abs all day but stuck in bum #### nowhere with no shops till now then litterally as i pull into the bay the light goes out and no issue can be found.

Almost every time ive had abs light issues truck or trailer since i started driving the light goes away or no issue can be found where the code says a problem is. (When i was at tmc i had a tractor abs light and the techs replaced what the code said was bad and still wouldnt go away) in fact only time i can remember a problem being found and truly fixed is maby 1 time and it was a bad sensor on a trailer.

Check your fuse box and see if any of your 30amp fuses are blown. Usually if I have abs problems it's because of the blown abs fuse. I keep a good stock of those fuses around. I blown one before within an hour of hooking up to a trailer.

Wait...does the light come on when you press the brakes?

Also, if its an older trailer, check the center pin in the pigtail receptacle, you may need to take a small flathead screwdriver and spread it a little to get a better connection. Or, a trick I learned at Werner, take a piece of paper and fold it a couple times, and put it on the bottom of your pigtail plug to make it fit snugger into the receptacle. Basically shimming it a little to make it keep connections with all the pins. I usually use an old business card folded once, makes it nice and snug.

I had a trailer once where the trailer and light would come on at random for a few seconds then go off. Might do it again a few seconds later or not for hours.

Also when plugging and unplugging pigtail make sure tractor lights are all off. I have had issues in the past where the sudden surge of power blew fuses.
Kamkor Thanks this.
