Those "new" trucks will be just as big of POSs as the Prostars in 1-2 years. You can't have vehicles running over 100k miles a year being taken care of by an incompetent shop and expect them to last very long. I've maintained all along it's not the trucks (MaxxForce excluded). It's that incompetent shop. I've had Freightliners, KWs, Petes and Internationals. And, every one of them ran fine with only the occasional hiccup, which is to be expected on ANY truck.
Furthermore, if Prostars were so bad, why do other companies run them? There are a lot of companies that run nothing by Prostars with no issues (besides those dreadful MaxxForces). Get them with the Cummins, maintain them PROPERLY and there's no issues with them any more than with other trucks.
I'm going on record right now (mark it down, lol). You Poly guys will be complaining about the Petes in a year and half, two years max.
Fix the REAL problem, THE SHOP. -
The shop normally does a decent job in my opinion but with a Maxx force you're better off going to a dealership and that's not going to fix the problem but they put a better band aid on it.
The drivers I see with the Cummins trucks rarely have issues and when they do its the normal stuff, either that or they just complain alot less than the drivers in the Maxx forces. The Cummins trucks don't have as much room though and we just don't have many of them. -

Yeah, the Maxx forces have double bunks so you can use that top bunk for storage which I do.

my problem wasnt so much the trucks breaking down or having issues it was having to go in a loaner just because they couldnt change your oil for 2 days or do somthin simple within a normal time frame, now hopefully most of that was the issues with the maxxforce causing more work load on them but if they have all brand new trucks and are still backed up at the shop just to get a pm then you will know what the problem is. you cant get all new trucks and have the same issues and say its the trucks, well you can say its the trucks but nobody will believe you at that point. lol
