    I can attest that there were none 7 years ago. I opened mine up after that rumor started! Found no mic. They are easy to identify. Open it up and disconnect it from the KB if you find one. If you have a new KB after a trip to the shop open it up and cover it with chewing gum!

    More and more Americans are starting to feel just like you. Maybe because technology is all around us.They don't care if they are being recorded or filmed or there personal info is being abused. Only time will tell if were on a slippery slope will all this intrusion. I still don't like it, maybe I'm just from an older generation.

    This omnitracs one I got now is such a pos that I'm not worried about a mic or camera. If there is they wouldn't work... this thing is junk. Love them or hate them but atleast qualcomm actually did what it was suppose to

    A mic recording a driver without the driver’s knowledge or consent is not a safety device, it’s an invasion of privacy, and it will be disabled if I find it.
