I appreciate it, but 1 good month per trimester doesn't cut it. I had a good Jan, an o.k. Dec (because I took vacation time), and a crappy Nov, and managed a whopping 6600 miles in Feb to offset Jan.'s miles. Sure, they'd probably run the crap out of me now if I stayed, I'm making less per mile so it's more profit for the company.

As far as talking to Chad...I can't afford it. After the last time we spoke, my monthly average dropped to their lowest in my career. Right now the only thing I have to discuss with him is where he wants my truck parked so I know what airport to make departure reservations from (or what orifice he want it shoved into, his choice...I'd even buy a 5 gal bucket of lube to ease the discomfort)

 

@supersnackbar I hear that ALL the 2018's at Crete are 12-speed Automatics, that makes the term Steering Wheel Holder OFFICIAL now. The slight profit margin increase over manuals overrides keeping the driver engaged throughout the day.....I have never been in an Auto but imagine it would be a long day.

 

Honestly, I would rather forget this company exists after I leave...it would be like a dream that was a mix between Chucky and Ground Hog Day (without the comedy)

 

I wouldn't step foot on an Acklie terminal if Tonn was running across the parking lot on fire and I had to piss really bad. Although working here at Magnum made me realize that Crete wasn't as bad as I thought...don't get me wrong...they still suck, but working here made me realize they had more positives than I was giving them credit for.

Don't count on it...unless I make a huge turn around and make a bunch more money than here...and I'd do it just to rub it in the noses of those who say "the grass isn't any greener elsewhere" or "snackbar will fail no matter where he works".

 

Hasn't your turnaround already started? Keep up whatever you've been doing for the past month for the next 4 months and you're on pace for a large pay raise. You just have to keep it up for 4 months (or all year round), not just one month.

 

What part of the last big post didn't you catch? It isn't up to me...I am doing the same thing now that I have been doing for 17 months. I don't change...the only things that change are the loads I am offered...bottom line, I wouldn't stay if they guaranteed me a $60k minimum salary...that's how bitter I have become from working for these people..and the total lack of respect I have for them as well. I am starting to put them in the same group as Crete's boss (Ostergard)...if they were running across the parking lot on fire....etc..

 

Sounds like your last day can't come soon enough.
