Was snowing hard going over Snoqualmie last night. But the roads were just wet. That road needs a serious upgrade in lighting, reflectors, and repainted lane markers....
Made my 1st and 2nd drops this morning.
Safeway in Auburn, WA was a 0330 appt. I was in a door at 0300 and rolling out the front gate at 0500.
Super Valu in Takoma, WA was a 0900 appt. I checked in at 0600. I was leaving at 0705.
Drove on down to Portland for my last drop in the AM. The TA was absolutely packed at 1130 but I snagged a free spot.
Getting a layover day and a reset after delivery and picking up on Wednesday afternoon in Eugene, OR headed to Warren MI.WalterSobchak, mattbh23, Winnyf1 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Squeezed in a reset in Caldwell, ID. Loaded this morning at 0600 at Americold in Nampa, ID headed for Hickory, NC. Stopped at Little America for the first time today and doing my 10 here. I will definitely stay here again.
Shipper/receiver pet peeve of mine. Despite Americold being a large and I assume financially well off corporation, there is apparently no money in the budget for having outside lights around the loading docks of their Nampa facility. I don't mean it was dimly lit either. I mean it wasnt lit at all. Luckily the folks working there were friendly and I was out in under 2 hours.Jake997 Thanks this. -
My delivery to Keystone Heights FL was definitely to a store not a new D/C...but according to the guy receiving, (who was only a depatment manager, not a receiver) they are sorta' a mini D/C. They order a truckload of Gatorade every 3 or so months, then disperse it to surrounding Hitchcock stores. The poor people had a 1/2 truck load of water, my 26 pallets of Gatorade, a Coke delivery, a bread guy and a chip delivery all within the 1.5 hours I was there...plus their regular grocery delivery comes in today all in a back room smaller than one of our shop's repair bays. I see a sale in their future, too bad it is 45 miles from home..mama could stock the freezer.
