That's cool, I hope it gives you as much trouble free service as it gave me. I kinda miss the power of a Paccar and a 10 speed...

Anyone have recommendations for making your truck wheels nice and shined? Products? Procedures? Anything. Thanks in advance!

Oh jeez... sitting here getting my truck washed and they broke the entire stem off one of my truck tires. That's the downside to having those extensions installed so it's easy for me to check the pressure. I don't want those on there anymore. These guys are a bit more intense than the blue beacons lol. I only have to get across the street to get it fixed, thankfully. Also luckily I'm less than 100 miles from my destination. Already talked to the shop. Pays to be ahead of schedule! No stress, no problemo!

BoostedTeg, runningman0661 and Zata40 Thank this.

Interesting. Do they sell that at Flying J?

Good news is these guys did an excellent job scrubbing my entire truck down and I really dont need to do anything extra special to my tires now. Bad news is I now need to get my tire repaired.

How the heck did they manage to break the stem?!

I have 6" extensions with quick-access valves installed on my inner tires so I can easily access them to check the pressure and add pressure if necessary. If you hit that extension, there's a lot more leverage to break the stem. Mix that with a big guy hardly scrubbing the grime off the wheels with a long brush and it was just waiting to happen. I didn't think it would be a problem, but obviously it is lol. But I've had my truck washed several times at various blue beacons and never had this issue. These guys scrubbed every inch of the truck and trailer with brushes (yes, even the top of my cab). They did an outstanding job, but those #### valve stem extensions...
It's the truck wash at the Pilot at exit 269 on I-75 just North of Atlanta. It cost me $80 for a wash with wax. They did a really good job. Can't really blame them for my extensions. -
