What you mean like the runs to Oregon, Washington and Idaho? Like those hills lol?

 

To be honest, the grades back east are as steep in terms of the percent (at least on the interstates), they just aren't as long of a climb (or decent) mileage wise.

 

I'll keep that in mind on my next run out west where we don't go.

 

That place is worth checking out, the food is great!

 

Hit wolf creek pass or monark pass. You then know a hill. Berthoud pass is a joy to drive, switch back city.

 

Or Douglas pass or vail or Loveland pass as well. That’s serious #### especially when it’s snowing with chain law in effect.

 

Just look out for that feed store in downtown Pagosa Springs...

 

Pilot in Troutville, VA is the worst truck stop ever. My old least favorite was Roberts, WI. This one takes the Cake.

The TA is completely gone now. Nothing but piles of dirt and some scrap concrete.

Yea that TA been gone....VDOT just settled with them for 7.5 mil....That Pilot is a waste of land and space...they are building a new Love’s at MM211 across from the Pilot.
