Texas, Florida, and South Dakota are the top candidates because they don't have an income tax and also are popular with full-time RV'ers and those states allow them to use a mailbox service for their address. Not sure how this would work in Texas because I think you have to stay in a campground for 30 days to be able to use the mailbox service located at that campground. Does anybody here do this?

Why don't you find a place that allows longterm big RV's and might have adjacent parking for your rig. Pay the $200/month or whatever price you can negotiate since you won't be using utilities, have a place to park your personal vehicle with neighbors to keep an eye on it, and a place to park your rig for a few days at a time, so you can run chores and take some time off near a city or town that has a lot to offer. Plus you can have the manager keep your excess mail for you. Offer to pay 5 or 11 months in advance will sweeten the request and they will probably give you one month free with 11 paid.

Longterm RV people are generally "older" and are very honest and dependable. Most don't mind a big truck parked on a nearby lot for short periods, and your personal vehicle will be safe. Some even have covered lots and adjacent patios with washer/dryer connections, or on-site washer-dryer room. They often have an area where resident boats and trailers can be parked and hopefully you can find one who can accommodate a truck/trailer for short times.

$200-300 month might seem like a lot, but it provides a lot of peace of mind, and gives you options and frees you from the commitments that an apartment or rental house can have, for considerably less money. Besides, you may one day decide to buy a travel trailer to spend more time at "home", and it's easy to pick up and move if the job changes.

There's a lot of people on here that do just that. One female driver uses a PO Box in South Dakota. Maybe a few of those drivers will post. I can't help you beyond that.

Here’s an idea. Just an IDEA.

    Select a state with a friend/fellow driver/relative.

Use their physical address as domicile.

Assume one bill at their address - like basic cable, or gas - or something, that you’re responsible for, in your name, that satisfies the requirements you’re seeking to overcome.

    Maybe?

Don't know what the rules are from state to state but you may not even need to assume 1 bill. I use my sister's address as my residence. There was a form we both had to fill out that stated I was using the address for residency purposes. I didn't have to show responsibility for any bills. That's in Indiana.

Check the state DMV website for licensing address requirements. I am not on the utilities at my current address in NY, but here they will accept a credit card statement and a number of other things that are not utility bills. Why did I move to a state that has the highest taxes you are asking? Family. The only bummer is that all the money I'll save on a cheap place to put my stuff I'll probably have to fork over to NY state.

If you are looking for inexpensive places to hang your hat, take a look at this site for tax rates by state. You can sort ranking by clicking the columns. The far right column adjusts rank based on cost of living index.

This is a decent search for places to "camp" but I think the park has to pay to be in the search results so I would also use google maps to look around the area for nice parks that might not be listed.

You don't have to be a member to use the search. Just select the state and when the search comes up you can select the box for "Big Rigs". I was looking into buying a coach and having a nice mobile "house" to enjoy on my days off. Prices vary a lot depending on where you look. They can be anywhere from 200-1400 a month depending on location. You can also buy a lot but I didn't find too many that were what I would consider affordable. There was one in SC near the Georgia border that seemed like a good price and came with a nice fifth wheel camper and had a garage but I can't remember if you could put a truck in there.

Why not just get a mortgage and pay for an empty house then use that address?
