Try stepping hard on the brakes, while stopped. Some drivers are "light" on the brakes than others. This will get the slack adjusters to do what they are supposed to do. Not a bad idea to do from time to time especially when raining or other bad weather.

 

I tried that several times and after things got warmed up, they finally settled down. I try to remember to do that with every new trailer I pick up and it usually works. I was empty and after sitting 4 hours and only going about 4 miles, well, everything worked against me. At least the 4 wheeler didn't jump out in front of me...that would've changed the storyline!

Headed to S Plainfield Jersey. Original driver tagged on load had HOS probs and couldn't run the load. Gotta be there by noon Wed so boggity boggity and weather permitting, I'll make it ok. Will prob reload Thur but that's ok. That'll give me somewhere around 11000 for the month. Seems like things are settling down in ops and they're getting on with it...finally. Stay safe!

Yes, that 10 mile buffer was incredible. I absolutely loved Magnum when I was there. Only reason I left is they didn't have a flatbed division. How's Tony doing? I spoke to hawaiian shirt (Chris) a few days ago.

 

I also wish we had a flatbed or tanker division.

Maybe if we collectively mention this enough we can make something happen!

Get 2 years experience, then come over to my company...open deck is almost all we do, and the van loads have 2 racks that are unloaded and empties are back on in 20 min.
