    ODFL.

Not gonna tell you how to achieve it, but sounds like a good fit. Good luck. Search bar is your friend.

    And I’m out.

You beat me to it; Covenant Transport. You will also need hazmat endorsement for teaming at Covenant. Don't let that hinder you, a load of paint is considered hazmat & many other items.

Correct. I found information for Tucson drivers:
Drop by the terminal and chat with the terminal manager; he has a lot of power as to who is hired.
    Linehaul Driver - Tucson, AZ
Be a graduate of a State Certified and Licensed truck driving school, acceptable to Old Dominion and/or have satisfactorily completed the Old Dominion truck driver training program.

We have a similar background. My hubby and I ran a small business side by side for 20 years, married almost 30 with the second child heading to college in the fall. I got my cdl last year with all the endorsements and he has his about 3 years. In 10 weeks, I will be moving to where he lives and hope to start team driving asap. He moved to a weekend house that we have had for a long time to get work nearer there 2 years ago and I stayed here until the youngest finishes high school (8 more weeks).
Hoping to get a job for the experience and then heading out on the open road to make some money together.
Lets keep in touch and swop ideas, experiences.

    MBAngel and Lepton1 Thank this.

Get your physical now, don't wait for company or schooling. If you didn't know, you need to go to a doctor that is on on the DOT approval list.

Yes. Pick a school that fits your needs best. Do not rely on company training. It is usually the worst training in the marketplace. You usually get more for your money at something like a community college.

If money is an issue there are other sources to get the funding rather then rely on the company pay back for training. Even if the company is a good fit for both of you, and that rarely happens in an industry with 100% annual turnover, there may be issues that may requiring you to separate from your training company. Even if you fund out of pocket, some training companies will reimburse you for the training school over a period of employment.

Correct, generally sign on bonuses are indeed a sign of a crappy place to work, although much less so when considering teams.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.
