You should like it. Magnum is pretty cool.

I remember people on here interested in lumping on their own if they could keep the money. The money MIGHT make it kosher, but lumping sucks. Looking back now, I can see why it can take awhile to get out of a place. Lumping can eat up a lot of time.

 

So I'm headed west. I stop at flying j in Missoula and ponder staying the night. Weatherman on TV says there is a winter storm warning. But there's not a single snowflake in sight. I decide to push through and get to Washington before the storm.

Half way through Idaho, transmission takes a ####. I have to stop. Can't put the truck in gear. No cell service and I'm in a random spot in the mountains. I have to walk about a quarter mile to get service. Had tons of trouble getting a conversation in with a single bar of spotty service.

Had to wait for a tow truck.

3 hours after I stop there is 6 inches of snow on the ground (when I stopped there wasn't a single snowflake in sight).

Then I hear on the cab the roads are closed. So tow truck couldn't get to me for a while. Tow trucks had to chain up to get the truck and trailer out separately.

It was actually kind of fun! I didn't have to do much. There were so many trucks stuck on the road.

Pretty crazy night! Haven't made it to Peterbilt in Spokane yet. We stopped so the tow trucks could de-chain.

 

At times your idea of fun is frightening lol. Good luck, hope things get resolved quickly.

Yes this is indeed an auto problem. But I still love my auto. Apparently I'm the second Magnum truck at this specific Peterbilt location with this exact issue.

Hopefully that means they already have a good idea of what is wrong.

(The rumor that they were not open until Monday turned out to not be true). Also, the shop manager took initiative and booked us a hotel while I was sleeping. So I appreciate not even having to wonder or ask about it. Best Western. This is with him knowing the truck runs and my APU works fine. I told him we were fine in the truck. So thank you kind sir!

 

Well SSB, if you’re like this old man they aren’t very useful anymore anyhow

 

For anyone that was born in or lived on Ohio, this is a great day. To beat the #1 college defense in this way surely makes ya wonder. A) What happened to the other team's defense and B) What happened to the Buckeyes defense? Imagine if they had played like that all year. Then again, it was against Blue so that explains a little. What a game!
