Been driving for just over 1 year now. Working for a large megacarrier whom shall not be named. Just pulling dry can. Started training new guys for some extra cash and it’s going well.
But I want more.
I see these guys hauling excavators and large CATs and it looks like interesting work. Where would I get started in that?
Any companies that will train new guys?
Thanks!
Want to learn double drop (Lowboy). Where do I start?

I have read good things about Transport National, if you are in their hiring area. Lots of good info on this thread here:
Transport National Oak Creek WI
Not sure what ever happened to @Gunner75... he doesn’t seem to post anything anymore. -
I’ve seen TMC with double drops, and they’re a ‘training ‘ company - might be worth a call, stating your intention.
Trucker61016 Thanks this. -
Lepton1, stwik, blairandgretchen and 2 others Thank this.

Might be able to get your feet wet with Hunt Transportation out of Omaha. The have contracts with all the farm and construction equipment manufacturers. I started with them just pulling regular flats and then worked into bigger loads requiring more specialized trailers. Best flatbed outfit I ever pulled for.

Tmc is not a HH fleet. All they do is move cotton pickers and combines. Don’t waste your time with them

I don’t think hunt has anything bigger than 5 axle. If so I haven’t seen it
