Who do you drive for?
-
That's awful! I would never team drive with someone I don't know well.DustyRoad Thanks this.

If you’re a team and both using up your 70 hour clock that is running hard. The HOS works just fine with a solo driver. Trying to get enough sleep in a moving truck is nearly impossible.

I know some of the milk haulers around here take people right out of school. So does Carolina eastern for their tender trucks. Some local companies do take people fresh out of school but they are still only a few.
The "system" is setup up to try and force newbies to the Megas. I started with Werner and bailed right after training was completed. Long times away from home with a wife, kids, and a house of our own no thanks. I even missed my dog. Local works well for me and I still pulled in $58,500 last year. This year I would like to break 60k. -

It is company policy on high value loads that you don’t stop within 100 miles of pickup so you don’t get followed.

but 102 miles is OK? It seems to me, if someone knows you are on a high value load, they would follow you for hundreds of miles if necessary.Broke Down 69, 88 Alpha, snowlauncher and 1 other person Thank this.

Exactly. What difference would it make if someone wanted to rob it 5 miles away, or 500 miles away. They'd still rob it.Lonesome Thanks this.
