So I was driving on road which apparently had a 10ton weight limit and officer saw me followed me for roughly 5miles before pulling me over and then did a level 2 found nothing wrong but I was 20,200 lbs over the limit for that road he didn't give me a ticket just a warning but then gave me a citation of $1,010.00 for the company for the overweight has anyone seen this before?
DOT CITATION for over the weigh limit on road?

I heard of driver not seeing a sign or the sign posted at the point of no turning around was possible
D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
Roads are posted as frost leaves the ground. He followed you for five miles giving you the benefit of doubt in case you were to turn around or make a delivery. Or even for you to flag the officer and ask for help. Yup life in areas where roads are posted makes driving interesting.

Overweight tickets are not part of the DOT, thy are individual to states and counties, so there is nothing against you or the company on the PSP or CSA.
Canadianhauler21 and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
The weight violation was written to the company?
You sure about that.
The warning, what form was it on?Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
we get overweight tickets from local towns, the company pays for it. Some officers don't care even if you're doing a delivery. From $3k to 9k tickets. Some company would deduct it off your paycheck until it's paid off. Lucky my company doesn't do that.

I have to travel on a weight restricted road to park my truck in a storage yard. I know that I'm legal because I'm always empty driving to the yard, but I still know that one day some young sheriff deputy or CHP will cite me for it and I'll have to go to court to fight it. This sign is on the road that I drive on.

The ticket is in fact probably on the company. Don’t sign anything that allows them to deduct it from your pay unless you can afford to eat that.
