I’ve been looking for carriers that pay some legit money that want drivers in Chattanooga, TN but wouldn’t mind running me out of AZ until I move. Has anyone heard anything about these guys or know of another outfit that pays a decent wage and treats their drivers well? My friend gets .50 a mile pulling reefers but his company doesn’t allow pets.
1yr van/tcu yanker for Werner with no accidents or violations and I can’t take it much longer on .38 a mile when I end up with $600-700 checks on the 48 state account.
It is hard to do anything about miles at Werner when your fleet manager can only send nasty grams to the load planners about your trips. If you sit for most of the day and lose 60% of your pay you might get $50 layover.
If you have info on the posted carrier or another that is paying well and is flexible on the home location please let me know. I currently run 3 weeks out/3 days off but I would like to be home more if possible.
Anyone drive for Silver Trucking? Help!!

So you are moving to Chattanooga, TN?
Or just where that company is from?
So do you want miles or CPM... sometimes you have to pick one... I don’t get 50 CPM at my company but I’m not normally sitting/waiting for my loads very long either... so it works nice for me.
We get 1 day home for every six out... minimum 2/12 and max at 6 days home I think... but that max might be flexible, not sure... I get home, or some place that I want to be, every 2 to 3 weeks.
And yes, pet and rider policy too.
What else is important to you?Chinatown Thanks this. -
Danny Herman Trucking runs thru Arizona all the time and probably never run North of I-40.
Has pet policy also. No Northeast runs.
Has drop yard Calexico, CA & terminal in Fontana, CA. Also, Nogales, AZ and Brownsville/Laredo/El Paso, TX
You'll run a lot of I-8 & I-10.

I know, but their main freight lanes are below I-40. In fact they told one driver in Las Vegas if they hired him it would be a real problem trying to get him home because he's too far North.
MidWest_MacDaddy and GypsyWanderlust Thank this. -

I have a friend in Chattanooga and it is fairly affordable along with being less ghetto than AZ and more freight in the area. Regarding your question about CPM and miles, I would prefer to make a decent wage without driving 3000 miles a week. I asked about Silver because they have an add posted on Indeed for .55 CPM or 21% of gross. They are based in St. Louis.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this.

Did you ever get the info you needed? After nearly 2 months of searching, they are on my short list.

Nope. I haven’t heard anything about Silver.
