No, I am not 'going broke.'

Sure, I have had no big ticket single-problem expenses yet, but, honestly, things are looking far better than I thought they would.

June will hurt the numbers, but after nearly wiping clean the laundry list of smaller issues impacting the truck and de-tarding the installation of the inverter, I am hoping for a couple good months in July and August.

    We shall see.

I will try to start posting a monthly update with year-to-date numbers.

You track your numbers, that’s more than many guys do. I’d like to suggest getting your income up. There are places to go if you’re not ready to self-dispatch yet that will be better money than where you are.

Did I miss it? Who installed the inverter you or someone else? If someone else what was the cost?

Why do you do 34 hour resets? Does your company not allow you to run on recap hours?
If I'm on the road, I'm running. And I don't care if its only 5 hours.
Also, are you logging your unload time as on duty? If you are, you're really screwing yourself.

    Trying to be helpful

Always someone thinks they have the best way to log. So how do you explain no on duty time for loading and unloading in an audit? That's not very smart it's just an outright falsification no if's, and's or but's about it. Why does anyone have a need to cheat to such an extreme that you lie about some small insignificant amount of on duty time in the course of a week anyway? Running recaps is a pain if you're pushing the limit of your hours every week. A 34 hour reset is nice in that case. But if you're to the point you're doing either of those things week in and week out, ####, that's hard work, slow down and enjoy life a little.

In all fairness he’s on a mileage contract, so nobody knows what they’re hauling for. We only know what they pay owner operators.

    Hasn't it always been miles?

Used to be $.90 + fsc regardless of o/o or lease operator.
