Only animal I have ever hit on a bike was a jack Russell. Not fun lol. You miss Daytona at all? I've thought about moving back out that way, I grew up next to the Catholic Church on A1A in Ormond Beach. It's getting so crowded over on the gulf side now I've thought about going back.

It's time these deer start being required to have Insurance , I'm honestly starting to wonder if deer are Islamic terrorist.

And not having say a Colt in the holster.

He had a muzzle loader. Maybe a .50 or even perhaps a .57 enfield or a .69 farmers model.

I agree it's shooters #### fault. He missed. (He hit deer improperly.)

Whats really crazy to me is the buck correctly assessed HIM as the hostile. Only in Arkansas. *SMH.

Regarding roadkill season, I usually try to get em on the right steer. Badabump. Or better a thump off the bumper and they are already dead as they go flying off. What I hate is the dead center smash. Those are messy.

I remember reading several years ago, that deer kills more people in the united states, than any other animal. I do not know if car wrecks were counted in the study.

I used to work in interstate maintenance and we covered a ~40 mile stretch of I-81 and during rut season we'd get called for 4-5 deer hits a day minimum and usually 1 bear a week. Compared to any other time of the year we may get calls for 4-5 deer a month. Be careful.

Lots of farmers in the SE will use dogs to drive deer to waiting hunters with shotguns. You shoot the deer from the side as they pass, you do not shoot towards the dogs. Shotguns. Buckshot, not slugs or rifles.

Other than that sort of hunting, you mainly use dogs to track down deer that were hit and bleeding significantly, but managed to run off far enough to get away from men on foot.
