Huh, I was unaware that was common in the industry. Guess some companies have different priorities.. I will sometimes stop early just to make sure I get parking especially if I'm unfamiliar with the area that I'm running to, cause I don't feel like risking a parking ticket because I ran out my time and couldn't find a legal free place to park.Numb Thanks this.

The last two times I reserved parking at a pilot or flyingJ amd arrived late, to find all the spots full. I went into the counter and the manager told me they don’t enforce it anymore due to liability and that I was welcome to go out there and knock on doors if I wanted to do it myself with people who didn’t have their receipts displayed. Yeah that’s a hard pass. so it’s a waste of time anyhow, reserving parking. They don’t enforce it at most of these flying J’s and pilots anymore. Meaning you arrive at 11 PM or midnight or whenever thinking you’ve got your spot and you don’t. Then you’re in an even bigger mess.
navypoppop Thanks this. -
Did they refund your money and do anything to help your parking situation?

If they're not going to enforce parking then might as well just park in the fuel Island. Make it their problem.

I saw Google reviews on this Lebanon location complaining about the same thing that they don't enforce Prime parking. If that's true then it's especially ironic considering that they don't enforce Prime parking but they sure will enforce rv parking. It almost gives you an anti truck feel from this particular Flying Jhope not dumb twucker and Lennythedriver Thank this.

some flying J’a do enforce it, but some of them are moving away from it so it really makes you ask a very simple question, why would anyone pay for parking to be reserved? The whole purpose of doing it guaranteeing you have a spot when you stop late and you’re out of hours.hope not dumb twucker and Tb0n3 Thank this.

Manager at a Pilot told me that when there is a guy working he wanted them to go out and make the non-payers move but told the gals not to do it. Then I asked one of the guys working and he said he wasn't doing it. Didn't want to deal with an angry driver.
hope not dumb twucker and bryan21384 Thank this. -
It's the driver's own fault for doing something against the rules. If they're too afraid to confront the driver maybe they should call the tow truck or the police.

During and shortly after the WooHan Red Death crisis, I noticed that there were only 2 or 3 people in the store. I says to myself, "There's no way they have the staff to police the paid parking." So, I took advantage of it. If there was free parking available, I took it. If there wasn't, I went to the pay side. Never once got questioned.
And here's a pro tip: if you walk in the store and there's like 2 people acting like cats trying to cover up poop on the sidewalk.......park wherever you like.hope not dumb twucker, Sons Hero and bryan21384 Thank this.
