Just tell them the load was rejected.
unless they’re paying good, which being DG is going to be 0.

The broker can't find a storage location for you to get that off the trailer? I've had loads rejected/refused in the past and they gave me a location to drop it at. Better yet, here's the simplest solution: take it back to the shipper. You're gonna take a loss one way or the other so just mitigate your losses and avoid legal trouble and take it back to the shipper.

I would counter their two weeks with two months; put the load in storage and continue hauling freight.
Phoenix Heavy Haul Thanks this. -
Failedownerop,
NEVER is how often being LATE was rewarded.
I went by info on B. O. L.'s, not by what some BOZO said, unless it was a Blind Shipment, and that was made CLEAR before load picked up.
I LOOKED at B.O.L.'s REPEATEDLY (yet not so much as to impede driving, walking or breathing) just in case some numbers or letters were erased or added in transit by those intrepid beings that haunt Trucking.
.(If You're Not A Bit Out To Lunch or Off Your Trolley, You're Not A Truck Driver).
I had a very bad habit of doing my best at being 2 hours early for any pick-up/delivery appt.
The North East was a bit more challenging, so maybe during the long night before delivery.
