The scissor lift load from Redmond, WA to Florida City paid miles were 3460 because it had a stop in Carrollton GA. This one, with deadhead miles is 3275. And it weighs around 20k lbs, so I will make better time going up than I did coming down with a 39k lb load.

those cross country runs are gravy for u comapny guys .. longest one i ever did was around 5k miles. load of liftgates from san diego to conneticut but had 9 stops.. a bunch in MS,LA and GA then a couple in PA and NY... ended up taking all of 2 weeks so it was not any more money than id usually make but easy work

Radio station 820 am has traffic reports every few minutes during rush hours and at the top and bottom of the hour the rest of the day. When I hear things are screwed up after Greenville, I get off at the 93 exit and run TX 34 down to I-20 at Terrell. Yes it's 2 lane and longer but it beats a 5 mile backup.

Bad morning to be driving around Nashville. Rolling west right where the I-24W/65N criss crosses, a 4 wheeler decided to test their airbags by running into something and pushing the hood and front fenders dang near the windshield(this was at 0500), there was a other car and a motorcycle on the shoulder just beyond him, so I don't know it they were involved or just witnesses. There were 2 metro cops there. Then eastbound was closed at the 38 mm for a 2 car, fatality crash, and had a half dozen metro cops there, some were in the woods doing their investigation.(or maybe bears were shi.... nevermind, I can't say that without seeing the ##) Everyone was getting pushed off at the 35 to go around.

It’s earned its nickname Crashville for a reason that’s for sure. We are going there next week to visit my mother in law and I told her don’t wait up! About the only time to go thru that city is late night/early morning. And she lives smack downtown by the Parthenon.

That city has grown from approximately a half a million people about seven years ago to approximately 1.2 million people today… It’s definitely a place to avoid if it all possible.

Maybe it should have been worded, worse than normal driving around Nashville. And, I don't think it was traffic related, but just before the 24/440/40 interchange, there was some major police activity on a surface street. Couldn't get a real clear picture, but at 1st glance it looked like a bunch of those blue Christmas lights, but after I got closer, it was a bumch of metro PD cars. Busy night for Nashville Metro Po Po.

Nashville is a treacherous city to drive because you’re constantly merging. The whole town is nothing but a huge merge to either stay on or switch interstates. Most accidents occur during lane changes.
