New trucks are already at 68. They cut the referral bonus because we have almost all of our trucks full. Supply and demand.

I’m sure yours have it too, ours do….progressive neutral. The most annoying idea anyone with a college education ever came up with.

With a heavy load your speed will fluctuate 10-15 miles per hour unless you defeat it by keeping the pedal down or putting it in manual shift mode. With manual shift engaged you’ll usually forget about it until you exit the highway and take off from a stop sign or light. It will drop to third on its own. Just an annoying feature of these newer trucks.

This truck has neutral coast which puts the truck into neutral on slight down grades. It also has an undershoot and overshoot range of 2mph on the CC. That’s kind of annoying but doesn’t seem to have much effect on overall speed.

With the jakes + CC on my truck would coast until 4-5mph over the set CC speed before activating the jakes — had them change it in Insite just recently. Very annoying when you start dragging some weight and have to deal with 55mph states like Virginia and NY.

If I pulled a mobile home I’d just run 75mph and tell everyone to move the #### over though.

Mine waits too long before deciding to throw it back into gear. Loaded heavy you have to anticipate and use the throttle to put it back into gear. Saves a teaspoon of fuel per quarter. I guess it adds up fleet wide……

Just the new trucks as they are issued is what I was told. That’s why there was not a big announcement. It’s only going to effect a hand full of people and Travis is addressing it as you get your new truck.

Is there specific reason other than the insurance company saying "jump"

Got all my WA stops kicked off yesterday, but the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia traffic kicked my logbook's arse. They had my stops set up Spokane, Everett, Des Moines (SeaTac) on the Peoplenet, but the broker had the shipper load it Spokane, Des Moines, Everett which is crazy, and being my 1st PODS load, it didn't occur to me that it was out of order until the last pick up. It only delayed me a little because Everett had no problem moving the other container to get to theirs and then put it back on tight to the remaining one. All the stops unloaded quick, but it took 2 hours between Everett an Des Moines (47 miles). They stop unloading at 15:00 in Des Moines, and I pulled in with 5 min to spare. I had 3 hours on my 11 when I Ieft Des Moines headed for my final in Oregon. Managed to make Geecees with 45 min left of that 3 hours. All in all, PODS aren't a bad load, and the broker SPD uses is very accommodating. Not sure which direction they're gonna send me, but I will only have around 3 hrs in my 70 once I get empty, and only gain back 3.5 tonight, so a 34 might be in my future, but after 3 pick ups and 4 delivery stops, and 3600 miles in 7 1/2 days, one might expect it. Hope whatever my next load is, it delivers by Monday.
