Some drivers have all the luck! Me included I guess, the customer bolts my load to the trailer and I throw one 4’ drop tarp and a couple of 2” straps and roll.
Not me this time. I was leaving Texas with the same load this morning though. Training a new to us driver. He seems like he will fit in just fine.

Use blue thread locker and you will be fine.

at some point you asked about a spd load statement, I’ve never received that. Only the Wylie/roadmaster one. I think it’s because we are on different pay programs.

Since I was swapped over to the per mile pay, I have gotten both until the last check in Feb. I like seeing them because sometimes Wylie's pay statement doesn't show a trip number for some stuff, just their movement number, so our statement shows each load and accessorial pay...not that I have any worries about getting paid. In my 18 months, I don't think they have missed anything I put down on the trip sheet.

I made it from Huntsville TX to Tucumcari. I have decided to take the scenic route to SLC because Denver to Cheyenne is supposed to see some winter precip along with wind. This load is only 11k lbs, but tall enough to catch a bunch of wind, so Gallup to Provo to SLC. By the time I get up to the CO/UT area all their winter crap will have turned to rain.

Samsara forgot how to add again yesterday. It had my total on duty time as 4h 19m Look at the grid, and it added up to 4h 26m. My youngest grade school grandson can add better. And my nanny-Karen cam is getting really annoying. When I first got it, I never heard a peep. This morning, a box truck passed me, changed lanes in front of me and was pulling away at a decent pace and Karen almost instantly started nagging...I guess now I need to start dynamiting the brakes every time someone passes me to shut the ##### up.

Made it to Green River, UT yesterday. Saw snow between Grants and Gallup. Sometimes heavy enough you couldn't see 50 yards, but it wasn't sticking because the air temp was near 40° according to my truck's thermometer. And this is the reason I chose the southern route....

According to Google Maps a bunch of I-80 in WY is closed now. And from SLC to the ID border is under a high wind warning starting at 9 a.m. today thru Friday morning. Calling for 65 mph winds
