Thanks for the memory. This how I used to go home to Fernley NV from Lost Angeles.

I stayed at the sportsman’s beach campground the last time I went that way. It over looks Walker lake. Windows down, nice and peaceful sleeping.

you will (should, I know I do) get paid for system miles on the trip. Free money!

One of these days when i need a 34 and i’m in Victorville or something i’m gonna rent a car and drive up 395 from Hesperia. I’ve been told that it’s a beautiful drive

Once you get thru all the redlights leaving town, and past the 2 lane desert no passing zone, there is a stretch where you are cruising right along a range of snow capped mountains for miles, and there are a handful of small towns, but mostly open road.

Lonesome, kylefitzy and cdavis188 Thank this.

Made it all the way to Pendleton for the night, 70ish miles from my delivery. Taking the back roads and bypassing all the city traffic made a huge difference. I will actually deliver right on schedule. Hopefully the consignee is as fast as the shipper.

Had a quirk with the truck this morning. Left the truck stop, went to just crack the windows and get some natural air conditioning, and neither window would roll down. All the way to Winnamucca, they didn't work. Shut the truck off while I fueled and then parked for a shower, and they worked just fine after I restarted it.

    Bumper and dwells40 Thank this.
