I really like that area of Florida. The wife and I have lived in St. Cloud, Ocala and Winter Haven but when we traveled north we prefer US 301 and US 27 through Chiefland and Perry on up to Lamar and Monticello. It is very quiet and gorgeous country.

Left Dallas yesterday morning, stopped at the Love's in Lake Havasu City this afternoon. At one point the app on my phone said it was 108° outside. I will take it's word for it, I ain't goin' out there until it gets down in the 90's. Planning on a reset in Patterson CA (and maybe get an oil change). Wish they did APU's there, mine is 300 hours over and who knows when I'll get to Arlington to get one done there.

It gets so quiet in my neighborhood, I can hear somebody's donkeys carrying on and hoot owls cackling. When I was on hometime, I went out to get some Chinese take out (it was my turn to cook), when I came down the road to pull in my driveway, there were 6 deer laying in the grass just outside my fence. When my lights hit them they gave me the "dim your #### lights, can't you see we're trying to sleep here" look. So I did.

Got up at 1:30 this morning. Started the truck to wake up the Samsara gateway and build my air pressure back up and the dash thermometer still said it was 100° outside. :biggrin_2555: Looked at the forecast for my delivery location (outside San Francisco) and starting at 11 on the day I deliver, they're under a heat advisory and temps are supposed to be in the low 90's.

Speaking of building air pressure. I am wondering how management expects us to pass a DOT inspection with these idle restrictions. If you do a brake pumpdown test, when you go to do the part where they want you to build up air until cutoff, they don't want you to touch the throttle. With the idle restrictions they put on our trucks, it tries to shut down before it gets to the cutoff pressure.

Well that’s a hell of a place to change a rearend. Luckily there was no one next to me, I went ahead and moved to a spot that won’t get blocked in. He was 5 spots past the end of the row and about 30’ off the row of back in spots. IMG_6994.jpeg
