Went to pick up a load to Houston. According to the bills has 40k in the box. Guess I'm not taking it in this trailer. Lazy ##* drivers cant do a post trip and red tag a trailer. 3 crossmembers in a row cracked

Only set your trailer brakes, leave your tractor brakes released. The daylight running lights stay on, but, unless the company sets it up differently, the truck will idle. Moore's Macks wouldn't do that, they would want to shut off at long red lights, even if you were in gear, brakes released and foot on the brake pedal

Figured out my APU issue. Between rainstorms I took the bottom cover plate off to check the breaker and noticed that my generator belt was drooping down like an old biker chicks boobies. Opened the top cover and I can move the tensioner up and down by hand, so my generator belt tensioner went bad. Hopefully it's a quick fix and I can go back to being a good idle boy.

You’re lucky you have one of the older apu’s, or maybe it was retrofitted. The newer carrier units didn’t have a tensioner for the generators. It had a link belt that you could shorten if the belt got loose. The belt was supposed to be replaced every oil change.

I wish they would engineer a tensioner for the alternator/water pump/fan belt.

Ended up taking them just over an hour to fix. Thankfully that was what was wrong. He said if it was anything more involved, it was gonna be a while, like a week, they are so busy...but a simple fix like that, they squeezed me in. Mike had good things to say about them before I headed that way, and his opinion was spot on.

That’s one thing that I love about Mike. He has a good idea of where the good places are, and he know where absolutely not to go. If he ever gets EW Wylie’d I’m going to be pissed.
