If the guy had any stones he should have replied, "Senator, that's none of you ####ing business". Unless he's being accused of tax evasion or tax fraud for his personal finances.

If he was truthful he would have said “more than you’ll ever make and that’s with my resignation in hand”.

When the government allowed Boeing to consume McDonald Douglas they should have seen the writing on the wall. It’s hard to maintain the safety standards needed in aviation while focusing as strongly on the bottom line as Boeing now does.

Check out the Starliner as an example, they send it to space with leaks and without the automated return to earth software installed. But hey, they did save money…

    Still undecided Thanks this.

McDonnell Douglas wasn’t exactly the pinnacle of safety either, even though i love some of their planes

I’ll stop myself here as i’m a huge aviation nerd and could probably write a few books about the topic

Metal frames used to support the load if it's longer than the upper deck on a stepdeck

    Some call them load levelers

Oh ok thank you. I THOUGHT it might be something similar to this, but I’m glad I asked. The pictures helped. Thanks again.

Absolutely true!!! And funny as hell.

Power at the house went out 5 am on Monday, finally came back on this afternoon. Not bad for our low budget electric co-op. The wife was doing a happy dance.

The mowing the grass thing got me, that’s exactly what I did. Saw a break in the rain Saturday evening, raised the deck up one and let her eat :).
