Wish you the best, hopefully it doesn't hit you direct. Have lots of family down there. Hope it fizzles out.

The really weird thing about this storm is that instead of continuing northeast like most storms do this one is hooking to the northwest around a Low pressure system and bring wind and rain to central Tenn.

The latest forecast has it still a Cat 1 into GA then stalling out in western TN. Their spaghetti model looks more like a tangled ball of colored yarn

With a hurricane, you get days of advanced notice...in your neck of the woods, you might get a 15 minute warning that a tornado is gonna be in your neighborhood. I'll take my hurricanes over tornadoes any day. Plus this winter, I'll be sitting on my deck watching the sunrise in shorts drinking my morning coffee while Jim Cantore will be reporting from a 3' snowdrift after the latest blizzard takes a dump up there.

the argument goes both ways though. We (at least where i live) don’t get near the excessive heat and humidity that the south does. I will personally take 25 degrees over 105. I also don’t really get much snow. Most of that stays to the north of us

You deal with tornadoes. Every part of the country deals with a some kind of weather dilemma

Stay safe down there. My company has a yard over in dade city and they are saying the area is starting to flood a little.
