The old guy that checked you in at Ports America at Dundalk was a piece of work. 30 or 40 guys in line and he would only check in 3 trucks per hour.

This load may be interesting. My stepdeck's lower deck length is 41' 7" (with the riser moved to the upper deck). The length dimensions on my load info for my 3 tractors is 42'. Not sure how accurate the shipper's measurement is, but since we don't have any ramps to allow use of the upper deck, I may be over length...and I no longer carry a printer on my truck, (since I quit doing OD loads). So I may be kicking the back tractor off the load if they can't figure out how to make it legal.
Bumper and Knucklehead Thank this. -

@supersnackbar this isn’t looking good for your state
From a tropical depression to a cat five in less than 48 hours. -
Thankfully my final customer didn't have similar equipment as my 1st customer does...I don't think it's up to the climb to the top deck
Last week, they said that it was "just gonna be a rain maker, not likely to develope into anything serious. This week a 165mph Cat 5 storm. Whoops, they were a little off. I wish I could #### up my job that bad and still keep it.wulfman75, hope not dumb twucker, Lonesome and 5 others Thank this. -
Looking at that 1st picture I am reminded of a question I posed on here a while back regarding the lack of headboards on US trailers. Is what I see there in front of that tractor a movable version of such a thing?
Or is it something quite different that I have mistaken for one?
I haven't always had a headboard though, way back in the '70s a firm I worked for had several Pitt trailers which were flat deck straight through, but they also had twistlocks for 20s, 30s and 40 foot containers so were usually used on that work. But not always, and I remember being a bit nervous and extra careful with some loads.Last edited: Oct 7, 2024
