Well that is a goofy looking setup on the last one. Glad it all worked out.

It's going to a turf place instead of a dealership, maybe they have some special type of wheels and tires there and these are like a tempa-spare on a car, just enough to get it where it's going

Guess they must be tightening the belt in Arlington even more. Got a generic email saying that they are terminating the Direct TV for all the remaining few that still have it. They want us to get to Arlington to turn in the box and make sure we have a functional smart TV. I have a smart TV, but it won't access a hotspot...as far as I am concerned, if they take the satellite box, they can have the tv too. They're slowly turning this company into every other mediocre company out there, there is nothing that makes them any better than Average Joe's Trucking Co.

And I got another clean Level 3 at the northern NC I-95 scales today. Doing my part to get us out of intervention.

I agree those definitely look like some sort of transportation tire.

The unload in MD was interesting to say the least. They're in an area that really isn't fun driving a 70' semi. They have just enough room to get turned around so you can back thru the gate and then a hard turn into a normal height dock. The problem is I am pulling a step deck and they don't have risers. So, I ended up getting lined up and spreading my axles, backing up to the dock and leaving the airbags in the slide height level, then dropped the airbags on my truck. It got me to within 4" of their dock. I managed to make it to within 160 miles of my 2nd stop in Michigan and I will be able to get both Michigan stops off tomorrow with enough time to get out to a truckstop.

Gonna be a chilly night tonight here, my phone says 41° for a low. MD and PA are already putting the plows on their state trucks. Yeah, I know it's October, but I've been using my A/C since leaving home, I ain't ready for that 4-letter S word.

unfortunately old man winter is knocking down the door regardless of whether we like it or not. I’ve had to turn up the heat a couple times already the past couple weeks. Thankfully i haven’t had to use the APU heater yet

Speaking of heater, I have neglected my bunk heater all summer. Years ago they told me that you're supposed to fire it up on the highest temp for 10-15 min on a semi monthly basis. I haven't turned it on since the last cold snap last spring.

I had a similar issue with the drop I posted a picture of. They only had a flatbed dock and I tried to lift my suspension up but I didn’t realize one of the bumpers must have been caught on the dock. When I pulled away the trailer jumped up about 5”. The ended up tying a forklift to the front of the lift and jerking/dragging it off the trailer because it was bottomed out.

I always try to spread my axles any time i drive a machine off the back. There’s way to much flex in the trailer with the axles closed.

My company doesn’t have bunk heaters, at least not the ones with a diesel fired APU. We just have plain old APU heat, which actually does a pretty decent job to be honest
