Do y’all run Paccars or Cummins in your T680’s? My company has them with Paccars and they’re pulling some of them at 300k-350k because they’ve had nothing but constant problems with them. I rode with one guy who had 325k on his and he said it was on its third set of injectors

Castrated PACCARs. Cummins were too heavy when they were spec'g them for light weight.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

I have the same and just plug my tablet into the tv…never wanted a satellite I’d prefer a stipend for my phone costs.

Yep the reason at my company we’ve moved to Freightliner and Fancy Freightliners (Western Stars). My T680 went through two sets of injectors in 6 months.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

Speaking of equipment. I spoke to a member of management in Arlington about the Volvo's being retired early. He said absolutely not, they're staying to the end of the mileage cycle like every other truck in the fleet. The only exceptions are the trucks with the high idle time that are starting to have issues where the dealers are attempting to not cover parts under warranty because of the excess idle time. So it looks like I am in this Sweedish dog for the foreseeable future.

Well you have the last of the breed so enjoy it, the new Volvo is smaller and the Paccar’s engines suck so you’re a lucky man

    Oxbow and Speedy356 Thank this.

Yeah, but it's an incredibly uncomfortable truck...I think an Amish buggy would have more accessable storage, and would probably ride better.
