Would you expect any less from someone who decided to switch from being a door slammer to open deck in his mid-50's? . Besides, I don't want to be known as one of those fair weather OD drivers, it's only fair to do it thru the good and bad seasons.
An old man's career goes flat, Snackbar moves to open deck

Looks like NM and CO are gonna be a winter wonderland. Parts of both states already closed interstates from the 1st push of snow yesterday. Now they're saying between Denver and Limon is expecting 20+" of snow from the next round coming in today. Glad I am gonna be on the wet side and not the white side of this storm.

This is the load I picked up. Some sort of fuselage frames. Spirit ordered them and needed them in a rush. By what the shipper said, they have finished units waiting to ship and are running out of places to put any more. They're needing them so urgently that they are working Monday(Veteran's Day)and will unload me 1st thing when they open the gates.
Been a good week, even though I was in the Boston neighborhood. My Nag-a-gator says I turned 4075 miles so far this month (my last restart ended on 11/1).Last edited: Nov 8, 2024

Saw something in MI yesterday that makes me glad I do this job. There was a pickup truck with a liftgate and a bed full of..... ROADKILL... That's right, their job was to go around and pick up dead deer that had been hit. Imagine the smell if they call in sick for a day or two and there is nobody to cover for them. We have a better way of dealing with that in FL... buzzards, hawks and crows. Whatever is left, the fire ants devour. Something gets hit, next thing you know it's a pile of bones, which the nocturnal critters finish off.
Knucklehead, D.Tibbitt, hope not dumb twucker and 5 others Thank this.
