One issue they need to consider is metal fatigue. Even with the tempered steel they build trailers out of, you can only flex them for so long before they start to crack and eventually fail. When I was at Moore, there was a scrap yard in Laurinburg down the street from our shop, stacked up in the corner were a bunch of old Schneider glass trailers that Maverick scrapped when they bought out the Schneider glass division and didn't want to trust them.

I-75 is a training road. Before you're authorized to drive on I-95 you have to survive I-75. Kinda like AAA in baseball.

Things went smooth at my customer today. Rancho did add a delivery first. Another driver had a TMX load that had a stop at the same customer, (plus many other stops) so he had him stop by the yard and the gang took the one pallet off his truck and put it on mine. Took all of 1 hour to unload the one pallet and get reloaded and secured. Left a little after 15:00, it took me 3 hours to get from the shipper in El Monte to the scale at the base of Cajone. Traffic was a nightmare, I decided to just call it a night in Barstow. I will call the consignee in the morning and see if they'll be open on Saturday. Either way I am gonna run my tail off and be there Saturday whether they're open or not.

Excellent news, before I could call my consignee, my travel agent had already made contact with customers about their holiday schedule(not just mine). My delivery customer will be open normal hours all Friday - Saturday and Sunday. The only possible hiccup is NM's weather. When I was first notified about this load, I checked the weather from Flagstaff to the TX border and it wasn't bad. Now, they're calling for 1-3" between Moriarty and Santa Rosa overnight. Unfortunately, because of all that above average traffic getting out of Purgatory yesterday, I won't be in that area until just before sunrise... let's hope that NM road crews are out making double time working the holiday tonight into tomorrow morning.
