All of the former Daseke companies are SFI (TFI's Flatbed companies), before TFI bought Daseke, we were told the plan was for all Daseke companies were gonna switch to Sam-crappa...then we all were bought out, so those companies that already switched will probably have spend more money to change to TFI's choice of systems.

Do y’all haul out of the Great Plains facility here in Salina? I saw an oversize SPD coming down Schilling then turn north on 135 when i was leaving Walmart this morning

I thought so. All thats above my pay grade. I'm just setting back waiting for all the changes to get to much to deal with.

That was some super secret squirrel #### me and my partner were doing this morning. You didn’t see us and that never happened. It took us 4 and a half hours to do the first 60 miles today. Had to fix this crappy packaging and then one of the escorts blew a tire. IMG_7467.jpeg IMG_7468.jpeg

Also I think we do actually haul out of there, at least I heard we were going to start a few years ago.

Heck, the only thing you're missing on that load is duct tape and zip ties...the shipper must be cutting back. That plywood is supposed to make it all the way to Edmonton? You might have a trail of plywood breadcrumbs all the way to the border.

I think that is like finding a unicorn these days. As long as these companies keep bringing in these college grads with zero experience it won’t change either.

It's not so much the planners I have an issue with, but our sales people. They book loads from the same brokers from the same shippers fairly often. One would think that after the 1st couple times where a driver has an issue, they would know what is needed. Plus, if we're gonna use brokers this often, we need a salesperson who lives in the eastern time zone. Having our salesforce being on the west coast, by the time they get in, all the loads that were available 1st thing in the morning on the east coast are gone. By what I gather from talking to the planners, they have some power to procure freight, but I don't know if they have to get approval from corporate before booking the load or if they can do it on their own...but they have enough to do just getting driver's planned. If they had an east coast sales person, they could be booking loads so the planners could concentrate on keeping drivers moving.

Yeah, I saw the scrape marks and guardrail damage when I went by this morning...I was wondering what made it.

Ok, experiment time. Instead of using my own tablet for the Sam-crappa app, I spoke to our Sam-crappa guy in safety yeaterday (who had called to question a logbook entry). While I had him on the phone, I asked him if the company had a problem with me putting my spare SIM card in the company Sam-crappa tablet. When we first got these they had a Verizon cell connection for a month or two, then it disappeared and all we had was the truck's WiFi connection. He said give it a try and see if it helps with the issues I have been having, and let him know if it works. So I just put it in and turned off the WiFi for now and it immediately had cell service. We shall see if it works better.
