Final numbers are in for 2024. Odometer miles for the year 132,164. Last year I had 131,000 odometer miles. This year, thanks to the addition of sick pay, me staying out 3 months at a time for the 2nd half of the year, and an extra 1 week paycheck they paid to get us in sync with TFI's weekly pay cycle, I did manage to top last year by a little over $2500.

Well ya know, we were heading that direction at one point. Not likely now.
hopefully the plywood doesn’t make an appearance, it’s there under several layers of wrap. That’s part of the reason I put the blue straps over the top. They also gave me a place to secure my line lifters.

Roughly how many days of hometime did you manage this year?

Because of the extra time from the hurricane, I had 35 days of home time.

Wow you work entirely to hard lol, but in all seriousness good job. I hope in the future you can find someone who values drivers who can put up those numbers because averaging over 11K per month is definitely respectable.

Only seafarers can beat that level of home time. It is very many years since I didn't make it back for the weekend but then, living in the centre of England and then not that far from the centre of France, helped.;)

i’m pretty sure i had double that amount of hometime

end year gross for me is a tad over 84k. That’s running about 10k a month on average. I can definitely make more if i want to but i’m happy with this. Of course i’ll know exactly how much once i get my W2’s

Many moons ago, my 1st year at Crete, I ran 143,000ish miles with 330 days on the road (back then you kept track of your days out for tax purposes). That was done legally, in a 65 mph truck. Since then I haven't had been able to run that many miles in that amount of time no matter how hard I try.

Got my 1st weekly paystub. I guess the hourly pay for sick time reset. The last sick day pay rate I had in 2024 paid $32+/hr. This stub says the sick pay rate/hr is $25.

I would Email payroll to double check. I had an error earlier in the year for the same thing and they corrected it immediately and I had the money in my account the same day.

edit to add: in the TFI intro letter they said vacation pay is going to $200 per day for the first 4 years. That would be $25 an hour. Is that a cut? My vacation has always been screwy but I though I used to get 1500 per week now it will only be 1250 since I’ve been here 5+ years.
