I appreciate it, but unfortunately this is a stretch. Hopefully it will squat some but the empty hazmat storage container only weighs 20000 according to my load info, which is an overestimated weight I believe. It's only a 20' container. Even with all the vents and fans and whatever else they add to store hazmat, I think it's not nearly as heavy as they claim. It might be heavier than a standard height converted can because I have hauled 2 of those on a step before...of course, this isn't the 1st time I have gotten a load out of this shipper that wasn't what dispatch told me. I had one that was a portable tornado shelter that was 10' wide, dispatch said it was a legal load.

If the dims are right I bet you will be fine. If you have an XL brand trailer you can actually lower the ride height, but at 22” you are most likely already on the lowest setting.
I talked to another on of our drivers, he told me who go stuck in the driveway. He agreed it was odd to get stuck there, he also has a Volvo and has never touched coming in and out. The driver that got stuck knows his #### and has taught me a lot over the years. He’s one of our top 5 senior drivers.
Here’s my gravy to start out the week. Under 10’ wide ca to Houston with about 5k on the deck. Feels like I’m driving a sports car.
@supersnackbar as for your fun at the port, it’s always a #### show. The customer gives us those booking numbers and sometimes they are not even for the right port. Them not giving you an unload slot is weird, the guys inside were always very helpful to me. Last time I was at that port I delivered 4 containers and it wool all day.Lonesome, D.Tibbitt, motocross25 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Nothing but snow and rain here in the southwest today . I blame @kylefitzy for bringing that crap over here

How much of a difference would the ride plates make on an XL? On the Manac neither hole really didn't make much difference at all. And since you've run more over-height loads than I have, are the east coast scales that anal retentive if you're 13'7" or 13'8"? I know out west of IA you can go 14' before you need a permit. I'll be passing thru NC, VA, IN and IL scales.
(Funny note - when I was typing "anal retentive" in that post, one of the next words that popped up on my phone's word prediction header was 'Crete'...hotrod1653, Friend, Lonesome and 4 others Thank this. -
i remember seeing a bunch of message boards in IL saying permits were needed for anything over 13’6hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

I would probably ride at 13’8” with no issue. The plates of the front don’t seem to make much difference. Maybe an inch or so. Is this container supposed to be legal width? If it’s permitted going to 14’ on the hight is no issue.hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

Yeah, it's only 8'3" wide. But I think they're (SPD) trying to move it without permits. It is supposed to be 11'9”, so at 22", that's 13' 7" minus any flex this trailer has once loaded, if any since it's a extendable frame. If I have the plates on the higher hole, and it gives me an inch...that would make me legal without worry. I'll see once I get to the shipper where I can drop the trailer and move the plates to see if it helps. I didn't want to make a bunch of noise after dark at a truckstop to try it last night.Lonesome, hope not dumb twucker and kylefitzy Thank this.

Not what I was expecting, but I moved my ride plates and I am inches below 13'6"
