I appreciate all the suggestions, but I have the ball rolling on a new job...but will delay saying who for the near future. I informed Arlington that I am leaving, and I will give them a short window to get me to Toledo, but they better not #### around getting me there because I have enough fuel in my tanks to make it with my empty trailer, and won't hesitate to deadhead my butt right up there before they screw up the timing getting to orientation. They have screwed up enough of my income this year, I won't allow them to carry that over to my next employer.
So, here is a snack from snackbar before the speculation begins

What they don't realize yet is, not finding me a load won't prevent me from a 950 mile deadhead. It'll only prevent me from voluntarily dropping this truck at the Volvo dealer near Toledo to have it repaired before they assign it to the next driver. I'll take it to the yard, write it up and toss them the keys. Then one of Toledo's elevator drivers can shuttle it down (or the yard guy can if he has his CDL)Gearjammin' Penguin, hotrod1653, Lonesome and 3 others Thank this.
