Another day, another bad crash in Denton.
I-35 crash in Denton Texas: 9 injured, officials say | wfaa.com

I about caused an accident on the 820 loop after a construction worker pulled one of the dumbest moves I’ve seen to date.

I’m 15’ wide taking up lanes 2 and 3 out of 4 lanes. Up ahead lane 4 is closed because they have some cranes setup in 4 and the shoulder working on a sign. No problem, I’m only going around 50, going with the flow of traffic, plenty of space. Right when I get to the construction a “worker” picks up a barrel, looks dead at me, and steps into the middle of lane 3 with the barrel. I had to run some poor guy off onto the shoulder to avoid hitting the #######. Thankfully the other driver was paying attention.

We were 5-6’ away from the work zone and doing 20 under the speed limit. He looked like a supervisor based on how he was dressed and how clean his Saftey vest was. He had the audacity to yell and throw his hands up when I expressed my self though the air horn. I should have stopped in the highway and had a little chat with him before he gets himself run over.

we try to be as safe as possible then boneheads pull moves like that. Gets my blood pressure up for no good reason.

Good thing you didn't; it would have been a waste of time. If he's made it to adulthood and has that little common sense, he's incapable of learning. His two brain cells are locked in mortal combat for third place.

He's probably one of the 'bike helmet' generation. In my generation, idiots like that would've already been removed from the gene pool. But guys like that had mommy and daddy pad them up, put a helmet on them and would only let them play in the safety park.

You take that back right now! SPD is a reputable company that would never stoop to running freightliners!

We’ve always had a few FL’s running around. I don’t think that’s a new truck though. A few years ago we went just Volvos and kenworths then two years ago we went to all silver kenworths. I’m not aware of any new freightliners for the past 3-4 years.

I think the only #### spreader in here is you!

I know it’s a day late and a dollar short but they are finally stocking the Wichita bathroom with hand soap and extra TP on the shelf in the corner. Along with a strongly worded note about the camera pointed at the bathroom door. (It also covers the warehouse entrance) I predict the goods will be gone in short order.
My understanding is that’s what all the Daseke trucks will be moving forward. White with red frames and red and blue stripes. I’m sure with all the nagging features one can order and none of the creature comforts. I’m “seriously” considering taking a 30% pay cut to go work at a company who runs older rebuilt equipment.
