I currently work for K&B. If there is anything you want to know I can probably answer your question or get an answer to your question. I've been with them for a little over 3 years now. They do run out to Oregon, Washington state, some northeast, and some southeast. They have a banana account out of Wilmington, Delaware. That's about the only account they have up in the Northeast region. They have more loads going into the Northeast region than they do going out. Doesn't make any sense if you ask me. It's not uncommon for them to deadhead you from the Northeast region all the way over to Davenport Iowa or St Louis once you get empty up there. I see the Northeast region about 2 or 3 times a month. However the Midwest is their primary operating zone. Usually Denver and Cheyenne is about as far west as they go unless you live on the west coast. I've been through Utah, Idaho, Montana, and North Dakota going to/from the west coast states but very rarely go to those states for deliveries or pickups. You will see the west coast states primarily during the winter months unless you live out there. They revamped their pay packages. If you stay out 2 or months at a time they have a pay package that is higher than drivers that go home once a month or more. They also have some dedicated accounts depending on where you live. I'm not sure what the pay is on that though. I'm an all 48 driver. Looks like they have retired almost all the manual trucks and went to an all automatic fleet. The downside to the automatic trucks is they do not have an inverter and the cruise control doesn't work when the headlights are on. They still have an APU, Prepass, toll pass, and a refrigerator. You can have a rider but have to renew the rider pass every month. They will run you hard (even on recaps). You will not be begging for miles. They have orientation, safety, and clean inspection bonuses. They fly you out to Omaha from the city of your choice using Southwest airlines. They have a shuttle that takes you the rest of the way to Sioux City. If they are still using the same hotel for orientation it's clean but old. Orientation takes about 2.5 days. They use mostly Pilot/Flying J for fuel but being a reefer company they can open up your fuel card for almost any fuel stop if needed. They will put you up in a hotel until the APU gets fixed if your APU goes out. If there is anything specific you want to know I can probably get an answer to your question

Also I've got into contact with Tony from Magnum Transportation and we've emailed back and forth a couple times. He's going to give me a call once he gets back into the office Tuesday from pheasant hunting. I saw one of Magnum's trucks while driving to a delivery in Chicago a couple days ago and i have to say it looked #### clean. Some of the cleanest equipment I've seen since I've been driving. I'm already impressed by Magnum from seeing the state of their equipment. And Tony is a real personal guy for a recruiter just from emails. Most recruiters I've spoken with just seem like robots. -
The good: Magnum has good equipment and good routes. They have good customers and contracts with mostly good companies.
Bad: Their trucks are very slow - 63 mph - they judge your safety score by if the sensors go off. -
I see a couple companies being mentioned.
One, Leonard's Express has driver facing cameras just FYI.
Two, Holland Enterprises (from what I researched) was the best mid sized to largest company to have coast to coast runs for solo drivers as their business model. However, you only get 1 day off for 1 week worked. If you don't need much hometime they might be the place for you.
Three, I saw KB mentioned in this thread. if you are considering KB, you better watch this video first. This was from 2014. To the best of my knowledge the company never put out a statement on this incident. No apologies, no word on whether the dispatcher got fired, nothing. Absolute dirtbag company that shows THE ABSOLUTE WORST of what the trucking world can entail:

Also if you haven't already check out the Magnum thread on this forum. Everyone in that thread was really helpful to me and answered all of my questions that I had regarding the company.
