I honestly couldn't care less if they were governed at 58 or 68, as long as i get the miles. I'm currently governed at 65 so it wouldn't be a massive change. As for the safety score i haven't hit any bridges or slid off any roads so LMAO

I took a peak at that thread but i haven't taken the time to really delve deep into the meat and potatoes of it. I'll probably do so on my next restart.

As for K&B they come off as not that great. I've read several reviews on them and they were a mixed bag to say the least. But that video really showed a new perspective on them. Thank you for the info

That wouldn't fly with me. I put my phone on do not disturb on my 10 hour break for a reason. Any inquiries from work will be answered after said break and not a minute before. For being a mega carrier I actually haven't been micromanaged at Schneider much at all. As long as i do my job in a safe and timely manner I've gone several days without speaking to anyone.

Does Schneider let a solo driver run coast to coast?

No they do not unless you run team. Most of the time I'm stuck east of the Mississippi. The farthest "west" I've been is Kansas City and Dallas-Ft. Worth. I heard from a dispatcher that that's the farthest "west" that they'll route solo drivers, and that's assuming you're out longer than two weeks.

I specifically asked that question during my orientation and onboarding, and that's what my first DBL told me.

Do you want to run coast to coast?
Several companies already listed on this thread though.

I would like to stay in the Midwest and West as much as possible, but I'm open to running anywhere as long as i get to go to those two areas often

Have you applied to any of the companies already listed on here?
Swift Refrigerated will let you do what you want..If you want to stay in Western half of USA, you can.

I have been impressed with the miles the guys say they are turning over at Climate Express. Take a look at their posts on Favorite Companies.
