I keep hearing all this doom and gloom about the economy but let me tell you its far from it from what i see. Im on vacation at the beach and these places are hoping with people. I needed a tire replaced and couldnt find anyone to do it today or they said come back later in the day and they might have time they were so busy. I see all the new vehicles and the toys going down the road. I think the only ones hurting are the lower income people like me. They are still selling houses as fast as they can build them and they are extremely over priced. I couldnt even begin to pay for a $400,000 house but yet thats what i see starting prices are. Something is wonky about this “recession”.

It comes down to supply and demand. When the rates were high. Everyone went out an bought a truck. When the market was flooded with trucks it got where there was more trucks than frieght. Which drove the rates into the toilet.

When I got here in 2004 , I looked at things in a similar fashion.

“Guy must be doing well - nice house/vehicles etc”

    Then 2008-9 rolled around.

“Oh - all on credit, I understand now”

Think of all the ‘free’ pandemic money the last couple of years. Not all used it ‘responsibly’.

Chickens come home to roost most times. Fox gets a couple from time to time.

Dude - let me learn you.

That ‘agent’ is out of Burbank, CA. Except they’re not. The muppet will be in the Balkans or the Middle East.

They ‘had’ a 9’4” wide load going to 30 miles from the house out of Ohio.

For $3/mile . $2.25/mile to the truck if you’re a BCO. Before $200 in permits.

I’ll drive right past it and haul my load of broker brains , sitting on both hands to stop me from clapping and waving at them as I go by.

They have no idea what the freight is, and are a stain on the LS system.

My advice (though I know it’s not an option on load boards that don’t post prices) - set your minimum at $4/mile and $2,000 minimum, and if nothing shows up -

    Find a better way.

Dude we just had two quarters of NEGATIVE GDP which actually falls under definition of "recession".

    Here's the proof

By definition we are in a recession

I could post a lot of other proof too but that's Simple enough.
