Driverless cars are the future but theyre still alot of bugs to fix. Mainly to remind drivers that you still have to assume control if the computer decides to take a dump.
I personally think the idea is there. But we have already witnessed a few fatalites that were the drivers fault for operating the autonomous car. Tesla was the last recent one that happened a few weeks ago, im not so sure where though.
I just still think that its weird to thin a computer driven vehicle will help reduce fatalites due to driver error. I'm no politician, enginering specialist or scientist at that, but common sense would have put it to where its simple accidents DO and WILL happen. Whatever the cause may be its going to happen. If its a fatalty or not its going too happen. Even Super Computers tend to fail at times. So why should it be the predecessor of a human mind?

Yup, learned new tricks, but still an old dog...
I chatted up the guys where we load the tankers and they all bounce from company to company. One has no loads, can't make a living and the other has tons of loads but you run illegal on very little sleep. Some pay by mile, some by load, others by the hour, still comes down to same reasons for leaving.
I thought about looking around the dry van world, but decided that I didn't dislike CFI, so why go learn any more new tricks.
Retiring in 4 years...no fuss no muss.
By the way, does anyone know what 'muss" is?paul_4lp and CargoWahgo Thank this. -

Here have a poem from my favorite black writer not named busta rhymes or Dr dre since its black history:
Dream Deferred
What happens to a dream deferred?
Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore--
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over--
like a syrupy sweet?
Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.
Or does it explode?
The real OG!!!!paul_4lp, RoadRooster and Cw5110 Thank this. -
