Two Creaffer drivers...same avaliable hours at same location...who gets the more productive preplan...the new driver..who is being paid less cpm...while senior more expensive cpm driver...gets the low mile / non productive preplan...

 

Got a buddy Shaffer trainer w/trainee onboard now who has 8 months experience (werner). Willing to run 700/800 a day super solo... Sat one day no layover pay next load 500 miles 2 full days to deliver no other leads available was the reason told... know my friend at magnum she's running steady still but they've lowered their standard and are taking no exp. Drivers and are chasing more drivers rather than focusing on proven quality drivers that are dependable and professional but choose not to pay correctly... other buddy at averritt said things are a little slow but he pulls contestoga but been pulling dry full loads recently

 

I’m still with crete I took a long break from here driving has been up and down for me the last 3-4 years to say the least

 

I am getting ready for my home time been out almost 5 weeks I’m ready for a break I might take a week off here soon to get a breather my last 3-5 months have been decent

 

I’m in Madison,WI getting a load to Indianapolis for my home time I will update everyone who knows me here when I have the chance I see this thread is pretty quiet now such a bummer

 

I'm about to take five days at home myself. I've been running good all summer until a couple of weeks ago, got four unplanned resets in 12 days. But at least I got to see family on two of those.

 

I feel for you guys, things are slowing down in open deck and I notice folks are renting flats and accepting stupid low rates. Thank heavens for customer freight. I feel like we’re the canaries here and the raising of interest rates are finally biting and the slowdown is here…

 

Fortunately, on the reefer side, it’s still pretty steadily busy at least for now… How long that remains is anybody’s guess but I’m guessing it’s gonna get much uglier before it gets better.. customer Freight that you have. I think it’s imperative. People are really take good care of their customers right now…

 

Hey all. Looking to get back into OTR, I applies to crete/shaffer because I have 2 small pets. How much you think I could make running non stop for a year straight? is it bad out there? Most posts here seem like its not going so hot for you guys.
