Well I just got home last night. I left the truck 80 miles away at the terminal for repairs. I woke up to 5 inches of snow in the Tennessee mountains. I'm due back Friday morning but Atlanta is gonna get hit with 2-4 inches late Wednesday into Thursday morning. Has anyone not been able to get to their truck due to inclement weather? Who do you call? Home terminal I guess?

I would call your asset manager. They probably had you already pre-planned on a load and if that falls through they will probably use backup plan B, then C, D, etc.

Stuck in Lenoir City. Thought I just needed an A service and mostly to get my fifth wheel cleaned out, since it was having A LOT of trouble staying released in the cold. Turns out, I blew my turbo and have a hole in my CDC something or other... I'm not a mechanic... Anywho, only the International guy can do the job, but he's busy, fixing the last job that he messed up. Great sign... Still waiting since Sunday.
Anywho, try to take the car today, gotta hit that Chinese buffet, but Lenoir City was hit by a huge snow storm. 2, almost 3 inches of snow! OK, I know, that's different down here, I don't whine when they tell me I can't take the car. I just laugh and say "I forgot you guys call this snow down here." Come back around 230, the snow is mostly melted, roads I can see are black, I can see grass through what's left of the "snow". I have to wait for the terminal manager to get back from the Love's, he still hasn't approved the car's use. Ok... When he does come back, he asks where I want to go. "Chinese". "Well, we know the roads are clear, but we don't know what the parking lots in town look like. I'm only gonna let you go to the Love's. We won't let ya starve, haha!" I wonder if I can get out of a load I don't want up north by telling them I don't think the Parking lot of the shipper/receiver will be completely plowed of snow. Besides how dumb that is, I'm pretty sure the roads weren't plowed. The 2 inches of snow just melted, meaning the lots around here are fine, lol. I've had worse happen to me, but I just thought this was all hilarious. I like this terminal more than most, but they all seem to have ways to make you feel like garbage.
