With elogs...there's no excuse for not paying drivers hourly when sitting at customers and such..there's no excuses for lack of planning on loads and such either...co's that want to continously make excuses are the co's who drivers should avoid working for like the plague...

Yes that would be my biggest gripe. Start my day and drive an hour to a delivery only to be “worked in”? Then spend 4 hours there while my 14 ticks away? On paper, it’s no secret how we got around that.

I see no indication of companies starting to pay in situations like this and the ones that do make the driver spend two weeks begging for it before tossing them $20 bucks. It’s a sad state of affairs out there anymore.

Paying a fleet the size of Crete's OTR division is a joke. You want to see how fast their fleet would have to double, just to cover the existing freight levels...pay them hourly and watch a bunch of the fleet change from truck drivers to dairy farmers that milk the clock. Not all, but enough that it would cause them to have to buy/hire more drivers just to keep up.

With the satellite tracking and elogs they can do it and catch the morons doing nothing...these co's don't have the balls to do anything with the lazy bums..

Werner is a publicly traded company. A lot of what they do is available in reports to shareholders. Not saying there isn't communication between the two companies. I think Crete is probably on stronger financial footing than Werner anyway. Not sure who could afford to buy Crete.

Small check next week. Total miles a little over 2200. Delivered yesterday and this load will go on next check as it delivers Sat.. Still will drive over 2800 actual miles for the week which is par for the course.

Couple changes since I came back besides hair follicle test.....dedicated asset manager phone line and after fcalling load you have to fill out what the load scaled out as.

What kind of A Hole waits to send out an amended W-2 on March the 14th? I know it came from ADP but ADP is only working with the information Crete sends them. Ultimately, it was Crete's fault. For the record, this is the second year in a row I got an amended return from Crete. Incompetent nincompoops.
Only affected my income by $80. I'm going rogue. No new tax form from me.
