Naw, I don't pay attention to the dog-n-pony show crap the FMCSA puts out. They say they want our input, but when it comes down to rule making, they do what THEY want regardless of any driver input. It's all a bunch of bureaucratic b.s. anyway.

I think the odds of getting rid of the 30 minute meal break are better than 50/50.

I liked what they offered the drivers and the small trucking company owners, about the 30 minutes could also be on-duty time and none of them realized what a great compromise that was.

    Deadwood Thanks this.

So I put in my empty call Saturday night at 5pm with a PTA for After a 34,and they send me a P/P that loads Sunday night at 8pm.
    Really?

Happens sometimes. Just decline the load and indicate in notes that you are taking a 34.

The weekend load planners are the weekend asset managers, I believe. They make load planning mistakes fairly regularly.

In addition, at least SOME of the asset managers plan their drivers through the weekends, meaning that your asset mor might have planned you on this on Friday, and you only see it now.

If they REALLY need the load moved, they will resend the load. Then you call them on the phone and verify if you will be able to do anything useful with however few hours you have left.

I found it funny they were expecting me to sit almost 30 hours before loading.
    Weekends are fun.
