crime committed against truckers: would appreciate hearing your experiences

One cold evening I was rob. I remember it like it was yesterday. I didn't put up a fight, I wish I did but it was a long day and I didn't have enough energy in me. He stole $600 right outta my pocket... so beware fellow drivers.........that scale on i39 in Wisconsin/illinois border will rob you blind

I had a gun in the truck pretty much from day one after I completed team training. Never got robbed, but I'm not about to let someone pull one over on me.\

I did once buy a "pizza" from subway. It was the sorriest excuse for pizza i've ever seen. That's the closest to being robbed i experienced over the road.

 

$180 for a single item straight pull off at Winco Foods in Molesto, CA. I was raped.

About 3 years ago had a kid maybe 18-19 come out from under a trailer when I was walking between trucks at the J in Harrisburg around midnight

Told me he needed my wallet. I stepped into him and told him go ahead and try to take it. He turned and ran. I just don't tolerate that ####. My attitude is how dare you think you're gonna take what's mine? If he'd had a weapon it may have gone down differently I just don't know. In close quarters with not much room to move as close as he was within arms length I may have just tried to punch him in the mouth and disarm him. Out of reach with a weapon I'd have probably given it up. Can't say.

A friend of mine took a wrong turn in jersey city a few weeks ago with a set of doubles and ended up in a bad area and couldn't turn around and had to break the set to get turned around and back out. Before he could get it done he said about 10 guys rolled up on him and robbed him. Got $100 from his wallet thankfully didn't grab his bag from the truck which had more valuable stuff in it. He's a big guy but not big enough to take on that many.

 

Watch out for a national Crime Syndicate known as "Country Pride"...they've been known to use over priced, high carb and calorie as a weapon against truckers for decades, robbing them blind.

 

None to speak of.

 

Told a #### bag once when I was in minneapos that I didn't know if I was willing to die to keep my wallet. However I had no problem killing the man who was trying to take it. Showed him my game piece and he left me alone. I'm a free man in America I'll go where I choose.
