He looks pretty straight in there to me but I agree with long fld I'd be parked across a few spots so stupid people don't run into it.

I went through 8 pages and no real good answer was found so let me explain.

Speard axle does not turn like tandem axle. Spread axle flatbed has its wheels at the very end of the trailer. To experience this, van driver set your tamdem all the way in the back for a week.

Another choice would be to park next to the scale or in a fuel pump that's coned off because it's out of order. That is, if you can get one of those spots before a reefer parks there. If those aren't available, then a long load always looks good along the curb in front of where the other trucks are parked.

I had a long load the past 2 nights. First night I ended up in Ontario,OR. It was my first time there and arrived about 8:30pm. I was worried I might not find a parking spot but thought I'd drive through the Love's and hope for the best. I was pleasantly surprised to find plenty of parking at the Pacifuc Pride across from the Love's. I was able to easily back in so my long load did not get in the way of anyone. Last night I made it all the way to the Flying J in Rawlins, WY. It was late again but I found an easy back in on the back row. God is good!

You’re all wrong. Flatbed drivers don’t park any worse than anyone else. Neither do van drivers. I’ll prove it.

I’ve pulled all manner of different trailers at the company I’m leased to. Pneumatics, hopper bottoms, end dumps, belly dumps, step decks, hydraulic tilt flats, vans, flats (both spread axle and tandem), etc.

On any given day I can park just as crooked as anyone, regardless of the wagon I’m draggin.
